Description

Artist’s Statement

In the shifting light of the African savanna, between shadow and brilliance, the leopard embodies both stealthy grace and restrained power. “N’weti”, meaning Moon in the Tsonga language, is an ode to this majestic feline, a symbol of untamed and wild nature.

Through this hyperrealistic wildlife painting, I sought to capture that fleeting moment when the predator blends seamlessly into its surroundings. Its piercing gaze, both golden and deep, tells the story of a solitary hunter, the undisputed master of its territory. Every detail of its spotted coat, every shadow cast by the branches, creates a scene that is both poetic and strikingly realistic.

With “N’weti”, I pay tribute to Africa’s great felines, to the free and mysterious creatures that inhabit our imagination. This leopard painting is an invitation to slow down, to observe, and to feel a deep connection with the wildlife of Africa.

May this wildlife artwork find its place in a space where one takes the time to dream, to embrace the silence, and to let the beauty of the natural world speak.
