“A Disrupted Nap”

The composition is triangular, with a line of force signified by the lion’s mane and the lion cub’s left paw. This line is enhanced by the light in the mane. the interaction is between the two cubs that play, the reaction of the father comes to energize this quiet scene at the end of the day. Finally, the painting is practically monochrome, the lion’s head catch the eye, by its light and its open mouth. I like this atmosphere of dawn, with this contrast between the cold tones and the warm tones of the light.
